About Me

Hi, I'm a friend of Marbella_Rich's from back in the UK.

I have a place in Cabopino where my family spend quite a lot of time relaxing. Looking to spend more and more time there to help escape the British winter and summer!

I am married with 2 kids so we are always looking for fun 'family' things to do. I will add a reviews of the places we've been. Any suggestions greatfully received!

Auriga Crown Car Hire 18-02-2008
Just came back from a week Hols and used Auriga Crown for our car hire. The first thing to say is that the car itself was great but getting it was an absolute mare!

We booked from the UK via the Auriga Crown website and requested 2 booster seats at the time of booking (at a cost of 2 euros a day per seat). When we arrived at the airport we were directed to the office and signed for the car - we did not mention the booster seats as this was all part of our original order. When we got down to the collection point our car took 20 mins to arrive - ok we thought, not the quickest but not too much of a problem. When it arrived there were no booster seats in there so we went back to office and asked where they were. We were told that it was our fault they were not there as we did not mention them at the office even though they were paid for and on our order! It then took a further 45 minutes to get 2 booster seats from the office upstairs to the lower level pick up point (so over an hour in total which is not great with 2 young kids in tow). The staff were incredibly unhelpful and constantly blamed us for not mentioning it at the point of signing (even though it was all pre paid by us). What made it more frustrating is that there were about 5 members of staff just sitting around doing nothing - it would of been very easy for one of them to get in the lift, go upstairs and get the seats but this was too much like hard work. At the time we left there were 2 other families having exactly the same issue as us, themsleves all being blamed for Aurgia Crowns crap system not picking up the specifics of what they had ordered.

The moral of the story here, if you want car seats from these guys (regardless of whether you paid for them or not) you have to mention it at the office in the airport. Needless to say we will not be using these guys again - there are plenty of other places to get cars.

We really enjoyed Tivoli World. There are plenty or rides and things to do for kids of all ages of children. Get there early to avoid the queues - it gets pretty busy later on.

We bought our place in Cabopino with ICE. The whole process went smoothly and ICE helped broker a great deal for us. Highly recommend them.
Crocodile Park 18-12-2007
We went there as a family back in October and had a great time. What I would say though is that we were quite lucky with the time we arrived as we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the tour to start. If we hadn't been lucky on this it would of been a bit dissapointing. the tour was great, they fed the crocodiles, gave talks and showed off some serious crocs. At the end the kids also have a chance to hold a baby crocodile for photos which was very cool.

So defo recommend it but make sure you get at tour time.
