Does quality vehicle detailing/valeting exist in Spain?

I am asked this question almost everyday!  Many of my clients, both trade and private want a high quality cleaning service for they're cars.  Most of the static washes are staffed by kids who have no problem using a pressure wahser on the engine bay and risking screwing up the ECU or small outfits that want 300.00 euros to run a machine polisher over the bonnet!  Either way the level of service that you come to expect from the UK outifts is hard to find on the costa.

What determines where you get your pride and joy cleaned?...  PRICE / LOCATION / QUALITY OF SERVICE / ETC?....

If you want a top job get Paul Dalton to do it, he will go anywhere in the world for a price. I would highly recomend him, he's also a really nice bloke. Having used him i wouldn't let anyone else touch my cars.

There's a guy in laserwash, Nueva Andalucia offering a full protection service inside and out and claims you never need polish your car again for €500.  Has anyone used him?

If its like perma-gaurd (a lacquer) in the uk it doesn't work that well, you can however have the whole car wrapped in clear film like ventureshield or the like instead of just the front splitter, arches, etc, like most people do, that works much better. Or if you were feeling really brave have the car wrapped with a picture  http://www.raccoon.co.uk/gallery.php?indcatid=MTg= also works well to protect it and can be taken off whenever you like, its about £1500. Have not heard of anyone in spain doing it though. A Yourmarbella ferrari might be good branding and amuse you for a while!

These 'paint protection systems' are OK for the run of the mill car, but not advised on prestige motors.  Especially as they actually cost 50.00 at trade level and the 'guarantee' only actually covers you for another application!  So if you think you are covered for everything, i'd recommend reading the small print!

What would you recommend colorcare?  I believe you met Will the other day at Sportwagen ?  He was fitting the sound system into the ferrari, he said I should call you.

    Hi Rich,

Yes, thats correct I did meet Will at Sportwagen.  Very good guy, obviously knows his stuff when it comes to in-car audio.  Would do well out here I'm sure.

With regards to valeting, I dont believe there is any substitute for a decent carnuba wax.  a regular valeting maintenance plan rather than products who claim so much.  I am not a valeter and dont have a vested interested in any company, but all I would say is to ask Urs @ Sportwagen for a recommendation, he can give you the details of a good guy that can come to you.

With regards to my services, I'll drop you a PM with what i discussed with Will.
